Wine House
The history of Ogier dates back to 1859, but it was only in 1948 that wine-growing began. The beautiful buildings of the winery are in Roman style. The cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the wine is produced and matured, date from the 20th century. They are undoubtedly the oldest cellars in the southern Rhône valley. In 2006, Ogier fully committed to sustainability and all vineyards are grown organically.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested both by hand and by machine. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures to preserve the fruit and freshness. The wine then matures for 6 months in concrete barrels.
