Travaglini Gattinara TreVigne 2020
Travaglini Gattinara TreVigne
Complex and elegant, almost Burgundy style Nebbiolo from the cool region close to the Alps.
Refined and very complex on the nose with cherries, plums, roses, tar and very light wood notes. Lots of juice in the mouth and a beautiful structure with lots of freshness and ripe tannins. Very long aftertaste.
This Piedmontese winery from 1958 produces red wines from the nebbiolo grape. Giancarlo Travaglini designed the special bottle in 1958 with the aim of being able to pour the wine and leave the depot in the bottle. Nowadays you can recognize from the bottle that it is a bottle of Travaglini Gattinara. Winemaker Massimo and his wife Cinzia run this family business and have a passion for making wines of the highest level. The 59 hectares of vineyard are located in the hills around the village of Gattinara. The soil contains many stones and minerals such as iron.
