Russolo Pinot Grigio DUE 2023

Russolo Pinot Grigio DUE

Fresh aromatic wine with white and yellow fruit, juicy, round and a slightly spicy aftertaste.

Russolo's wines are characterized by a ripeness and digestibility that is appreciated worldwide. Special, partly because of the diversity in grapes and taste.

Rino Russolo makes wines northeast of Venice in the plain of Friuli, which is called Grave. Rino is the fourth generation winemaker of the family, who started making wine in the Pordenone region at the end of the 19th century. Today the cantina is located in San Quirino, in the middle of the cru vineyards of Ronco Calaj. The vineyards are sheltered on the north side by the foothills of the Alps, while on the south side the Adriatic Sea provides sufficient moisture and a fresh sea breeze, especially in the afternoon. In this region, many winemakers play it safe: they pick before the weather changes. Fortunately, at Russolo only really ripe grapes are picked, so that the bitters in the wine are kept within limits and the aromatic expression is much greater. The wines are highly sought after (nowadays also in Italy itself, supported by high ratings in the Gambero Rosso), so that only a limited quantity comes to the Netherlands.
