Rueda

Rueda is a wine region with a long history. Wine has been made here for 500 years. The wine region has become famous for the typical Verdejo grapes, which have been planted here for more than 400 years.

Vinification

It can still be very warm in Rueda during the harvest season. That is why the grapes are picked early, when the coolness of the night still hangs between the Verdejo vines. This prevents oxidation at an early stage and you taste an intensely fruity wine.

Origin

The Verdejo grapes for this white wine grow in the outer north of DO Rueda. The soil consists mainly of stone and clay. The slightly poor soil ensures that the roots go into the ground, which gives a wine with more character and complexity.
