Primitivo Puro Puglia Michele Biancardi

The Puro is an aromatic, fruity wine with aromas of slightly sweet red fruit almost jam, cherries in syrup, floral notes, herbs and a surprisingly fresh touch, eucalyptus, but also slightly smoked and a touch of vanilla, in short, a wonderfully smooth wine with mild tannins. .

Pairs well with pasta with meat, wild boar, rack of lamb and stew with sweeter spices.

Cantina Biancardi is located in the north of Puglia near Foggia, 10 kilometers from the Adriatic coast. The talented young winemaker Michele Biancardi grows three grape varieties here. Michele works completely organically. The soil is rich in lime, gravel and volcanic rock. After manual picking and an additional selection in the wine cellar, the grapes are destemmed and vinified. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matures for 1 month in large wooden barrels of 20 hectoliters, to add structure and finesse to the wine. Then another 5 months in stainless steel.
