Primitivo Pinataro Masseria Tagaro 2023
Primitivo Pinataro Masseria Tagaro
This Primitivo Pinataro from Puglia is an uncomplicated warm-blooded, typical Southern Italian pleaser . A purple-red juicy wine with aromas of small forest fruits, juicy cherries, some smokiness, light spiciness (laurel) and easily digestible tannins.
The primitivo (and zinfandel are related) is a reliable classic grape from southern Italy. The wines made from this grape can be light and juicy, even with some residual sweetness, or rich and full of candied fruit.
Masseria Tagaro is run by Michele Lorusso, the third generation of the family, and is located in the Valle d'Itria in Puglia, the heel of Italy around the famous and beautifully situated white town of 'Locorotondo'. Like many Italian families, this family also attaches great value and importance to the long history and wine making within this region, as well as to the traditions and local customs.
