Hamilton Russell Vineyards Chardonnay 2022

Hamilton Russell Vineyards is one of the southernmost and closest wine estates in South Africa. Founder Tim Hamilton Russell purchased the undeveloped 170 hectare estate in 1975. The estate specializes in producing terroir driven wines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, widely regarded as the best in South Africa and among the best in the New World .

Traditional vinification. The wine matures for 9 months in 228 liter French oak barrels.

Hamilton Russell is located in the Hemel en Aarde Valley at the southernmost tip of South Africa. There is a cool, maritime climate. The company makes terroir-driven wines, which are among the absolute top of South African wines. The specialization is on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
