Generacion 46 Garnacha-Tempranillo Tempore 2020
Generacion 46 Garnacha-Tempranillo Tempore
The color of this blend is deep garnet red. The scent is pure and intense. The aromas are complex, on the one hand those of the two grape varieties and on the other hand those of the French and American oak. Great craftsmanship can be discovered in this wine. The nose smells of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, green aromas, herbs - such as licorice - and blackcurrants. The attack is soft and the flavor intensity is average. The mouthfeel is smooth and the taste is broad. Fruit and wood melt pleasantly together and the tannins feel velvety. This blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo is worth a discovery!
Generación 46 represents the birth year of Paula and Victor's father. This is a blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Tempranillo.
Bodegas Tempore was born from the Yago Aznar family's passion for wine. And that has been going on for four generations! In 2002, the Yago Aznar family decided that the time was right to produce their own wines from the seventy hectares of vineyards in Lécera, in the heart of the Sierra de Arcos, an inhospitable sub-area of Bajo Aragón.
In addition to a passion for wine, the family has a great respect for the land. They have chosen to plant only indigenous grape varieties, such as garnacha, tempranillo, macabeo and garnacha blanca. The vines are much older than the winery itself. The old, sometimes 70 years old, garnacha sticks are among the young plantings. The vineyards are located on a plateau, approximately 550 meters above sea level. The days are warm, but at night it cools down considerably. This ensures that the grapes ripen evenly and retain their acidity. There is no more than 300 mm of precipitation per year. All Bodegas Tempore vineyards are certified.
Paula and Victor Yago Aznar, brother and sister, are the ones who run the family business where the parents and their families are also active.
The Generación wines are the result of the knowledge accumulated over the generations, which come together in this.
