Artesis Côtes du Rhone Blanc BIO Ogier
Very tasty with spicy fish dishes, cooked mussels and salads containing white meat or poultry.
The history of Ogier dates back to 1859, but it was only in 1948 that wine-growing began. The beautiful buildings of the winery are in Roman style. The cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the wine is produced and matured, date from the 20th century. They are undoubtedly the oldest cellars in the southern Rhône valley. In 2006, Ogier fully committed to sustainability and all vineyards are grown organically.
The grapes are harvested manually and pressed directly. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures to preserve the aromas and complexity. The wine then matures sur lie for another 4 months.
The vineyards are located in the middle of the Rhône Valley, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, north of Avignon. The soil consists of sandy and pebbly clay.
From 1948, Ogier has focused on wine growing. Several vineyards were acquired, which provided the necessary know-how in the field of viticulture. The beautiful buildings are in Roman style. The cellars in which the wines are produced and matured were built in the 20th century in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today Ogier supplies the largest appellations of the Rhône Valley and is a leader in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
