Travaglini Gattinara Riserva 2019
Travaglini Gattinara Riserva
Garnet red with relatively high intensity. Powerful and complex on the nose with cherries, plums, roses, pepper and light wood notes. In the mouth a powerful structure with lots of freshness and firm but ripe tannins and a nice minerality. Complexity will increase after maturation, also in the very long aftertaste.
This Piedmontese winery from 1958 produces red wines from the nebbiolo grape. Giancarlo Travaglini designed the special bottle in 1958 with the aim of being able to pour the wine and leave the depot in the bottle. Nowadays you can recognize from the bottle that it is a bottle of Travaglini Gattinara. Winemaker Massimo and his wife Cinzia lead this family business and have a passion for making wines of the highest level. The 59 hectares of vineyard are located in the hills around the village of Gattinara. The soil contains many stones and minerals such as iron.
