Bitacora Rueda Verdejo

The Bitacora is light yellow in color with a fruity bouquet. On the palate it is fresh with nuances of apple and citrus. An aftertaste that can best be described as delicate.

DO Rueda is located at about 800 altitude with long cold winters, short spring and autumn seasons and hot summers. The temperature difference between day and night ensures a good balance between sugar in the grape (day) and sufficient freshness (night). Cuatro Rayas was founded in 1935 and produces approximately 20% of all bottled wines from the Rueda area. The first 30 cm of the vineyard soil consists mainly of pebbles and sand. The slightly lower layers contain a lot of loam. Cuatro Rayas itself has a centuries-old vineyard. This is a particularly valuable asset because in Europe many of the old vines have been lost to phylloxera. The Bitacora is a light and delicate wine. It is made from 100% Verdejo grapes.
