Graham Beck MCC Brut
The scent is brioche, pure, white fruit and citrus. Aromatic complex taste with a lively mousse.
Very beautifully made sparkling wine, Methode Cap Classique (in the same way as Champagne).
From Madiba magic (nickname for Nelson Mandela) to Obama mania - Graham Beck Brut is the bubble to beat! It was the celebratory drink of choice for both Nelson Mandela's inauguration and Barack Obama's victory. The grapes for this wine come from a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from our vineyards in Robertson, Franschoek and Stellenbosch. By using the entire bunch during pressing, winemaker Pieter can separate different qualities (Fractional Recovery). This technique is also used in Champagne and it forms the basis for the quality classification into Cuvee, Premier taille and Deuxieme taille. After the wine has settled, both grape varieties are fermented separately. After this, they are mixed with reserve wine, bottled and the wine has 15 to 18 months of yeast contact before the disgorgement.
At Graham Beck we appreciate the following statement that captures the essence of teamwork: “No one can whistle a symphony, you need an orchestra to play it”. And it was Henry Ford who said, “Coming together is a beginning. Staying together is progress. Collaboration is success.” These statements capture the core of our synergistic approach. We believe that success lies in collaboration where the sum is greater than the individual parts. Every member of our team plays an integral role in making us what we are – an internationally recognized and respected wine brand with a family focus.
