Leitz Cabernet Sauvignon Zero Point Five alcohol-free
Leitz Cabernet Sauvignon Zero Point Five 0.5%
The wine has a remarkably good structure and delicious blackcurrant fruit in the taste. In addition to this richness, the wine has tasty acids and soft tannins. The aftertaste is pleasant and quite long. Drink it with the barbecue, hearty meat dishes and even with dark chocolate.
The alcohol-free cabernet sauvignon from Leitz is - quite modestly - the most beautiful red alcohol-free wine at the moment! The grapes for this wine do not grow in Germany (it is just too chilly there for cabernet sauvignon), but in Argentina. The wine that is purchased is almost completely dealcoholized in Germany; a residue of 0.5% alcohol remains in the wine. Very strictly speaking, the red Leitz is the only 'alcohol-free' wine from Leitz with a fraction of alcohol. It is legally established that the maximum percentage for the term alcohol-free is 0.5%. Officially it falls into the alcohol-free category.
The alcohol is extracted by vacuum column distillation. During that process, the alcohol is extracted at a temperature of 29 degrees. Due to this low heating, virtually no flavor is lost.
Leitz's non-alcoholic wines are simply the best "oo wines" you can find today.
