Intense ruby red color. The nose has aromas of ripe fruit reminiscent of cherries and a hint of plum and spices. The taste is soft and supple with silky tannin.
The grapes for this wine grow on high slopes with sand and stone soil. The wine is largely made from Montepulciano and a smaller portion of Sangiovese grapes.
The harvest is done manually, after which the grapes undergo a skin maceration of 12 - 14 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in wooden barrels and in the bottle for at least 6 months.
