Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay 2023
Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay
The name Morning Fog refers to the fog that forms in San Francisco Bay. The unique orientation of the Livermore Valley drives fog banks far to the east, which in turn brings cold air with them. This creates a Mediterranean or Maritime climate. This means that both at night and in the morning the grapes can enjoy a lot of cooling until the sun dissolves the fog and provides the grapes with warmth. This way the grapes can ripen slowly and evenly, which of course benefits the quality. This beautiful wine is made from Chardonnay grapes, supplemented with Gewürztraminer.
Enjoy the golden yellow color and the aromas of red apple, vanilla and beautifully integrated wood notes, as well as the citrus and tropical fruit. In the mouth a hint of apple, toasted bread, butter and subtle wood. This Chardonnay is mouth-filling with a medium-long, refreshing aftertaste.
This wine is delicious in combination with seafood or ravioli.
