Amarone della Valpolicella Antiche Terre 2020
Amarone della Valpolicella Antiche Terre
The Amarone is an intense ruby red wine with garnet reflections. The smell is reminiscent of dried fruits, due to the drying of grapes, spices and tobacco. The taste has delicious notes of dried fruit, is very full, powerful, intense and dry. The wine provides a lot of warmth due to its fullness, but is also extremely soft. The Amarone has a strong personality, which can easily be kept for 8-10 years.
Blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella. The Amarone della Valpolicella is made from grapes dried for 100 to 120 days. This drying of the grapes takes place immediately after the manual harvest, before making the wine. As the grapes dry out, the sugar content and therefore the alcohol content of the wine increases. The alcohol-rich Amarone wines are well structured and are among the great red wines of Italy.
